For 100 years, we manufacture knives and cutlery that accompany our customers every day in the privileged moments of preparing and sharing a meal. Our attachment to values of humanity and solidarity is therefore natural. For many years, and without interruption, Jean Dubost has been supporting various french and international associations.

Since 2011, we have partnered with Action Against Hunger with the Micro Egg®, a strengthened partnership in 2017 with the addition of the Frérot® pocket knife: for each product purchased, Jean Dubost donates €0.15 in support of the association’s programs.
Our sponsorship commitment to Restos du Cœur allows them to receive cutlery since 2012. These cutlery are used in the different social centers in the region or in Paris, in social residences or on the Péniche du cœur. As well, we support various territorial associations such as the local down syndrome association, schools and sports associations.

More recently, in the heart of the global health crisis we are experiencing, Jean Dubost acts since April 2020 by joining the movement «Tous unis contre le virus». For every iconic Le Poche® knife purchased, the company pledges to donate 1 euro to the Fondation de France, AP-HP (Assistance Publique et Hôpitaux de Paris) and Institut Pasteur to help both research, caregivers and most disadvantaged people.

  We are very pleased to introduce you to Valentin, a young cutler apprentice.

« Before starting here, I studied at the Agricultural School where I wasn’t truly happy. Then, when I turned 18, Alexandre reached out to me, suggesting I join his company as an apprentice. The condition was that I would sit my vocational qualification in Thiers, capital of the french cutlery, to learn skills the job requires. That’s what I did and today I’m happily working in Jean Dubost. I’m delighted to learn plenty of things at the wood workshop, in polishing and at the pocket knife workshop. What I like is that we all work together with confidence, we are there to help each other. And we are even allowed to share our ideas if we think that we can improve things! Honestly, without Alexandre’s helping hand, I would probably still wonder what I want to do. Now I know. By opening his doors, he opened my eyes. »
