No less than 25 steps are required to manufacture our premium Jean Dubost Laguiole® knives and cutlery: assembly, shaping, polishing, chasing, sharpening, etc. These gestures are transmitted and repeated for 4 generations to offer you high quality products entirely handmade, one by one. The blade with its iconic bee, is made of forged stainless steel X46Cr13 (52-55 HRC), with a thickness of 2.5 mm, its back is chiseled for a high-end finish. Finally, the handle is offered in different finely selected materials: acrylic, real horn, several wood species, etc.
